Medtronic's heart for patients

Medtronic, in cooperation with the World Heart Federation and the support of EuroPCR2008, succeeded in bringing together physicians, industry representatives, medical bodies and the local community in the achievement of creating a heart formed by people.

These people stood together within a heart–shaped outline on the ground, for 60 historic seconds to illustrate the power of Better Together.

‘Medtronic is especially proud to be helping people around the world as we gave two euros per participant to the World Heart Federation. This donation will be used for the benefit of patients around the world. It is a great example of how we can achieve more when we all work together’ says Rob ten Hoedt, Vice-President for Medtronic's CardioVascular business in Europe.

Even though the record breaking number of 4,000 people was not achieved, Medtronic still donated a total of 8,000 Euros to the World Heart Federation.
